Before this journey of ours that we've been on, (I call it a journey because it definitely didn't happen overnight) I would see blog posts from self-proclaimed crunchy (or hippie if that's what you want to call them) moms and think, "wow, there is no way I could EVER do that they must just have super powers or way too much time on their hands." Turns out, that couldn't be further from the truth. We are a totally normal family. We've just been enlightened and educated as to what is wrong with the current state of affairs as far as health goes and we are doing our best to change that, at least for ourselves one day at a time. This blog was created as a way to document it not only for ourselves, but to hopefully share this knowledge with others who need it. At the point I'm starting this page I am only 32 and I have chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, arthritis, IBS, & am slightly overweight (and I've had these problems for as long as I can remember). I'm already seeing improvements in all areas and can't wait to see what's to come.
So, how did our journey begin? Glad you asked. It started when my fourth child was born. We lovingly call him Monster Morgan as that kid was literally born with sheer muscle mass, seriously he's only 4 now and looks like a miniature football player, it's insane. Anywho.... I was a person who followed what the pediatricians said to a T. I was on time for EVERY vaccine, usually to the day they were due. And he had a terrible reaction at his 4 month vaccines, more on that here. That's what started our journey. I literally spent a year reading everything on vaccines I could get my hands on, then that lead to cloth diapers, cast iron skillets, ridding our house of plastics, etc, and the most recent addition a whole food diet. We're still learning and I hope you'll join us so we can learn together. If I help just one person this blog will be worth every second. Thanks so much for visiting my page, feel free to subscribe to my blog or like my facebook page to stay up to date on the latest.
Have a great day!
